MassaBits Program — what it is and how to play ?

In the past few weeks you might have heard some internal teasing about a program we’ve been working on in the shadows for quite a while.
Today, we are excited to share more info about Season 1 of our Massabits Incentives Program with 4,000,000 $MAS on the line for the first season.

The Massa points program is an innovative incentive framework designed to reward new and OG users, along with innovative projects building on Massa Network. With an objective of stimulating the growth of DeFi on our Layer 1, and onboarding more users to Web3 Freedom.
We will distribute a significant amount of MAS tokens to users and projects who participate in the program by performing on-chain actions that result in an increase of our on-chain metrics.

With the Massabits campaign, we’re hoping to incentivise users to explore everything inside the Massa Ecosystem. Playing and learning more about the Layer 1 for Freedom.

How to earn points ? — 2 methods

1. Passive Points — Holding $MAS and LP provision

Users can gain Massabits by simply holding $MAS, the main Massa ecosystem token. In this page you can find multiple ways to acquire $MAS, either by buying it on a CEX, DEX, or bridging tokens.

Users can hold the token directly in the available wallets — Massa Station, Metamask Snap, Bearby. Visit the “Where to start” page for an easy access.

Until further notice, for now, $MAS is the only token that gives you passive points.

Providing liquidity to $MAS pools through our partner protocols such as Dusa and EagleFi is also highly incentivised, along with other potential pools.

2. Activity points — explore everything !

Holding tokens in your wallet is nice, but exploring the ecosystem is even better ! By using your tokens to explore the different protocols and dApps on Massa, you will earn Activity points.

In this page you can find the list of participating dApps (note that this list can change over time as more protocols join the program). Your Massabits amount will increase as you perform different actions.

The protocols participating in the Massabits program, are also competing between themselves — as the more activity they bring, the bigger part of the allocation they can airdrop to their users.

To decide how MassaBits are distributed, we have crafted a system that allows us to track several activities from all of the featured ecosystem projects, while keeping the point allocations fair, based on the network impact that the activities bring. This can involve various types of actions related to the projects in question, so make sure to explore everything!

So, now that you are earning Passive and Activity MassaBits, your goal is to identify what actions will bring you the highest return for your liquidity, while benefiting the ecosystem.
